Can I call you Al? I decided I'd read a bit more on your site just a while ago. Was
thrilled to see someone else who takes such feel good from Ellis Paul. I've heard
Ellis live a number of times at our Woody Fest in Okemah in the heat of July as well
as the Blue Door in Oklahoma City. Have several CDs. He's something of a favorite
of the oddballs like myself in these parts. Very uplifting guy.

expense. The world is celebrating the coming of The Beatles, 40-years ago. Nowhere
in all the hype surrounding this occasion, do I see Sid's name mentioned. That's
rather sad. Just as sad, is the fact, that while there are a number of non-performers
honored in The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, including the late Bill Graham...Sid is
not. Happily, Sid is still with us. I see him from time-to-time on Summer Sundays at
Strawberry Fields. I would hate to think, he'll have to die to be lip-serviced into the
Hall!
Currently circulating online is a grassroots-generated petition which will soon be
presented to the Hall, asking them to induct Mr. Bernstein. If possible, could you
make your readers aware of the petition, and please sign it yourself. You'll find the petition at:

to think this President got less popular votes, which would have suggested to him, there was concensus to the middle. Naively I thought Bush would be a
centrist president because that was clearly the will of the people. If a President wins by a landslide, one can say he has a mandate. But Bush, it
could be said, did NOT win at all, but if he did, it was to be a moderate.
in 3 years the list of damage he has done is staggering, from the economy and jobs, to the record deficits, to savaging the environment, and destroying
the good will of almost the entire world on 9/12, to a point where now we are almost universally hated. (his own State Dept. p.r. office says it will take years
and years, if ever, to recover).
and this doesn't even begin to touch the deceit regarding the war. Tonight I watched an old clip of bush beating the drums for war with fear, suggesting
to America Sadaam had nuclear capability, his words, "the smoking gun may come in the form of a mushroom cloud." shame on Bush for such calculating,
lying tactics to scare and frighten. And now the WMD debacle, Bush is appointing a commission. Of course at first he objected saying it was not
necessary.
There are no end to the lies. And Cheney, and Halliburton and no bid contracts and Scalia duck hunting.....it's truly overwhelming the damage this
President has done. I'd say "miserable failure" is an understatement. ##

were burning down the city, he was too much of a crazy and too extreme in his anti-white,
ant-semitic hatred for me.

Randy died around midnight in Seattle at The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center at The University Of Washington
where he had had been having treatment since October and a bone-marrow transplant for leukemia.

The Hip-Hop Summit Action Network (HSAN) has kicked off a "One Mind. One Vote" political empowerment campaign, an
effort that seeks to register 2 million voters in the next six to nine months and 20 million in the next five years. In
the process they plan to create a national voter information database. HSAN is dedicated to harnessing the cultural
relevance of Hip-Hop music to serve as a catalyst for education advocacy and other societal concerns fundamental

"Fat Mike" Burkett, owner of Fat Wreck Chords and leader of the punk band NOFX, has set up
www.punkvoter.com as a clearinghouse for anti-Bush information while simultaneously
encouraging voter registration. Burkett's goal is to secure 500,000 new voters--primarily punk rockers--in the 18- to 24
year old age bracket.
National Voice is a coalition of groups that came together in 2003 to maximize the impact of 501-c-3 groups in the
areas of voter engagement, registration and turnout. Their four main activities are to help groups get involved in
effective voter mobilization, creating and supporting local and statewide civic engagement campaign coalitions,
involving individuals in voter mobilization projects and promoting a unified national media message campaign. Contact
